Inspired by the brief to design a home worthy of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, The Concreate Story created The Bengali Connect, a 2,800 sq ft residence in Noida that fuses the grandeur of Bengal with the tropical warmth of Kerala. Handmade Atanguni tiles, reminiscent of South India's ancient temples, replace the original flooring and immediately set the tone. The drawing room layers lime-washed walls, hand-painted borders, polished wooden beams, and distressed furniture into a sensory narrative of timeless elegance, anchored by a bespoke Jodhpur centre table and antique-inspired structures that evoke heritage without feeling heavy. A 22-foot foyer, once dark and uninviting, is reimagined as a dramatically moody entrance complete with a grand mandir; a bold contrast to the typical housing society aesthetic.
What makes this luxury home interior truly singular is the personal depth behind every choice. Homeowner Indrani and her family, avid readers with over 1,500 books, seasoned travellers, and proud Bengalis, wanted a home that reflected who they are, not just how they live. The result is a space where every object carries a story: a souvenir, coffee machine, or crockery unit in a vivid yellow. The dining area's diagonally placed oval table beneath elegant arches becomes a quiet masterstroke; form and function in perfect balance.
